(a+b+c)²=a²+b²+c²+2(ab+bc+ca)[We know that]

Now do the same using the problem,

=>(x+y-z)²=x²+y²+(-z²)+2(xy+y(-z)+(-z)x)

=>4²=38+2(xy-yz-zx)

=>16=38+2(xy-yz-zx)

=>2(xy-yz-zx)=16-38=-22

=>xy-yz-zx=-11(Ans.)
