QUESTION :

If x + y + z = 6, x - y + z = 2, 2x + y - z = 1, then x, y and z are respectively

____________________________________

ANSWER :

X+y+z=6......1

x-y+z=2........2

2x+y-z=1.........3

subtracting 2 from 1

x-y+z-(X+y+z)=2-6

-2y=-4

y=2

put y in 1 and 3

so

X+z=4.....4

2x-z=-1.....5

adding 4 and 5

3x=3

X=1

put X and y in 1

1+2+z=6

z=3

{X,y,z}={1,2,3}

Answer:

x= 1 , y= 2 , z= 3

Step-by-step explanation:

x + y + z= 6

x - y + z= 2

On subtracting the equations,

x + y + z= 6

-(x - y + z)= 2

2y = 4

y= 2

on putting the value of y,

x + 2 + z= 6

x + z= 4

2x + 2 - z = 1

2x - z = -1

On adding the equations,

x + z= 4

2x - z= -1

3x = 3

x= 1

on putting the value of x,

1 + z = 4

z= 4 - 1

z= 3
