Question : If x + 1/x = 4 .Find the value of x - 1/x

Formula : (a-b)^{2}=(a+b)^{2}-4ab

Answer: ± 2\sqrt{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

        (x-\frac{1}{x} )^{2}=(x+\frac{1}{x} )^{2}-4*x*\frac{1}{x} \\\\=>(x-\frac{1}{x} )^{2}=(4)^{2}-4\\\\=>(x-\frac{1}{x} )^{2}=12\\\\

       =>((x-\frac{1}{x} )= ±\sqrt{12}

       => (x-\frac{1}{x})= ±2\sqrt{3}
