Answer:

x²+1/x²+2=62+2

so (x+1/x)²=64

x+1/x=8

similarly x²+1/x²-2=62-2

(x-1/x)²=60

x-1/x=2√15

so x²-1/x²=(x+1/x)(x-1/x)

=60*2√15

=120√15

Answer:

8

Step-by-step explanation:

 Here,

⇒ x^2 + 1 / x^2 = 62

  Adding 2 on both sides:

⇒ x^2 + 1 / x^2 + 2 = 62 + 2

⇒ x^2 + 1 / x^2 + 2( 1 ) = 64

⇒ x^2 + 1 / x^2 + 2( x * 1 / x ) = 64

    using a² + b² + 2ab = ( a + b )²

⇒ ( x + 1 / x )^2 = 64

⇒ x + 1 / x = √64

⇒ x + 1 / x = 8

\rule{110}2
