If x and y are the sides of then,

tan 45' = P / B

1 = x / y

or y = x.

Given,

In a triangle angle XAC=45° which is angle of depression

To Find,

The values of and y.

Solution,

Here XAC is angle of depression and x,y are the two sides of the triangle.

Then, tan45°=p/b(according to trigonometry)

⇒1=p/b

⇒p=b

⇒x=y

By putting the value of tan 45 we found that p is equal to b that means two sides of the triangle are equal which is given as x and y.

Hence, the values of x  and y are equal.
