given,

y+3 is a factor.

thus, remainder= 0

let y+3= 0 ... y= -3

f(x)=0

f(x)=2y³-14y+k=0

= 2(-3)³-14(-3)+k

=2(-27)-14(-3)+k

-54+42+k

k=12

y+3 =0

y=-3

Putting the value of y in given eq.2y³-14y+k

2(-3)³-14(-3)+k

-54-(-52)+k

-54+52+k

-2+k

therefore, the value of k=2
