6x+py=12
6×3+3p=12
18+3p=12
3p=12-18
3p=-6
p=-2

x=y=3 is the solution

So by substituting those values we get

6x+Py=12

6(3) + p3 = 12

18+3p=12

3p=12-18

p= -6/3

p= -2
