y-3=8x
y=8x+3
2y+7=3
2 (8x+3)+7=3
16x+6+7=3
16x+13=3
16x=3-13

(y-3)/x = 8
y-3 = 8x
y = 8x+3

(2y+7)/x = 3
2y+7 = 3x
2y = 3x-7
y = (3x-7)/2

8x+3 = (3x-7)/2
16x +6 = 3x-7
13x = -13
x = -1

y = 8x+3
y = (8×-1) + 3
y = -5

y-x
= -5-(-1)
= -5+1
= -4
