By applying chain rule,

First we differentiate sin function and then it's angle

Let t = ax + b

d sint/ dt = cost

Now differentiating t in terms of x

d(ax + b)/dx = x

Therefore we get,

d{sin(ax + b)}/dx = xcos(ax + b)

This is called Chain Rule.
