if you chew chapati for long after sometime it taste sweet .why is this so??

When chapati is chewed for some time it taste sweeter because, as you know chapati is carbohydrates and it presents starch. When salivary gland secrets saliva, then it breaks carbohydrates into simple glucose that is hexoes. It is generally food in our body by hydrolysis of starch.
