if you chew chapatti for long after some time it taste sweet? why is this so

it is so bcoz the saliva in our mouth converts the carbohydrates present in the Chapatti to sugar which has sweet taste

The piece of chapati chew after some time its taste turns into sweet because the saliva secreted by our salivary glands breaks starch into simple sugars which makes taste into sweet
