Answer:

Undoubtedly faith in God is a great and enviable virtue, yet not being able to solve one’s problem indicates one’s poor management of one’s resources. God Almighty has given man all the resources to be master of his circumstances and fate. Yet if man lands himself into a trouble, it means he has somehow been negligent.

Lencho was not provident. He had not planned and made any arrangements for any future calamity. Lencho should have kept some resources for emergency. He should have managed his resources more carefully to avoid unexpected situation.

Answer:

Lencho was a hardworking farmer. He was completely dependent upon the crops on his field, its annual crop was totally destroyed by the heavy rainfall and hailstrom. In the entire village there was no one who could help him during financial crisis.

He had firm and absolute belief in god and hence wrote a letter requesting God to send him 100 pesos. This act did not prove that he lacked courage to resolve his own problem , but shows that he didn't have any other option left for himself. He was an ox of a man, but lacked money to stand again, he was literate so he actually wrote a letter to God.
