Answer:

Gravitational force = 7.71 x 10⁻⁹ N

Explanation:

Given :

radius of first sphere  r₁ = 20 cm = 2 x 10⁻¹ m

radius of second sphere r₂ = 40 cm = 4 x 10⁻¹ m

density = 19.3 g/cm³ = 19.3 x 10³ kg/m³

distance of separation d = 170 m

Mass of first sphere  m₁ = V x ρ

                                       = 4/3 x πr₁³ x 19.3 x 10³

                                        = 4/3 x 3.14 x (2x 10⁻¹)³ x 19.3 x 10³

                                        = 646.4 kg

Mass of second sphere m₂ = 4/3 x π r₂³ x ρ

                                             = 4/3 x 3.14 x (4 x 10⁻¹)³ x 19.3 x 10³

                                             = 5171.3 kg

Gravitational force F = \frac{G m_{1} m_{2}  }{d^{2} }

                                  = 6.67 x 10⁻¹¹ x 646.4 x 5171.3/170²

                                  = 771.48 x 10⁻¹¹ N

                                  = 7.71 x 10⁻⁹ N
