If you eat food while hanging upside down it will go through alimentary canal why ?

 Yes it will go through your alimentary canal. The reason is due to the process of peristalsis, the muscular contractions that move food through the canal. Just take a look at astronauts, they are able to have perfectly normal movements in outer space (zero gravity)

When we eat any food material,it goes downwards in the alimentary canal without any extra effort,due to the presence of the gravitational pull.

But when we are hanging upside down,the food materials still go in the alimentary canal by performing a movement in the opposite direction of the gravitational pull.

This movement of food materials is known as the peristalsis , which is performed by different muscle contraction and relaxation.
