Speed of elevator= 4.5m/min
Distance above ground level= 19m
Distance to be travelled below ground level= 400m
Total distance to be travelled= 419m
Total time taken to travel= 419/4.5 min
=93.1 min
= 1.551851851851852 min

Given that it is 400m below the ground level.

Initially, the elevator is at 19m above the ground level.

= > Total distance covered = 400 + 19

                                             = 419m.



Given that the rate at which elevator descends = 4.5m/min

= > Time taken to cover 419m = 419/4.5

                                                   = 93.1 minutes (or) 1.55 hours.
