But first I would put the newspaper under a few of the smallest bits of firewood and pour a little oil from the lantern onto the pile. Then I’d light the match and use it to light the fire and the lantern, in that order.

After all, I have other senses than sight. I don’t need light to find and arrange the things as described before I light that match.
