Answer:

\huge{\boxed{\rm{\pink{answer=Rs. 68.75}}}}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

A cindrical pillar is 50 cm in diameter and 3.5m height.

To find:-

Find the cost of painting the curved surface of the pillar at the rate of Rs. 12.50 per .

Solution:-

Diameter of the cylindrical pillar (d)=50cm

Radius(r)=diameter/2

=50/2 cm

=25 cm

we know that 1 m =100 cm

1 cm =1/100 m

=>25 cm

=25/100m

=0.25m

Radius of the cylindrical pillar =0.25 m

Height of the pillar(h)=3.5 m

Curved Surface Area of the cylinder (LSA)

=2πrh sq.units

=>2×(22/7)×0.25×3.5

(Cancelling 7)

=>2×22×0.25×0.5

=>44×0.125

=>5.5m²

Curved surface area of the pillar=5.5m²

Cost of painting the curved surface area of the pillar per 1 =Rs. 12.50

Cost of painting the curved surface area of the pillar per 5.5m²=5.5×12.50=

Rs.68.75

Answer:-

Cost of painting the curved surface area of the pillar=Rs.68.75
