Image distance in the plane mirror is equal to the object distance from the mirror.

let the object distance from the mirror be X cm. So image distance from the object will be 2x  

 

mirror approaching speed = X/t= 10 cm/s

image approaching speed = 2 x X/t = 2x10 = 20 cm/s
