If you touch an electric wire carrying current you get a shock, but if on the same wire the birds sit thye don't get any shock/current. Explain why

because birds are not in touch of any other wire or earth to pass current that's why they don't get shock
and it is also the reason that we r requested to wear sleepers when doing some electrical work to cut the connection of our body with earth

as the wire through which current flows has positively charged and negatively charged electrons...if a human touches it the negatively charged electrons gets attracted and hence they get a shock whereas the birds sit on any one wire due to which it doesn't comes in contact with the electricity that is flowing...
