If you try to hold a glass with soapy hands it slips. Why?

It slips from our hand because when we apply soap in our hand it decreases the frictional force thus resulting very low frictional force between our hands and glass tumbler .

We need proper friction to grab or hold anything. Likewise holding glass also requires a fiction for a proper grip. But, soapiness act like a lubricant which decreases the friction between hand and glass. So, little friction result in a week grip, hence when a person tries to hold a glass with the soapy hand it slips.
