Q.No.1 Ans: The substances like CO2 and water move in and out of the cell by the process of diffusion. When the concentration of CO2 and water is higher outside the cell then the substances move inside the cell. Whereas when the concentration of CO2 and water is higher inside the cell the substances move outside.

Q.No.2 Ans: Plasma membrane is also called selectively permeable membrane because it does not allow the entry of some substances inside the cell and only allows some selected substances to move in and out of the cell. That is plasma membrane is also called selectively permeable membrane.

Water and co2 move in and out of the cell with the help of cell membrane through diffusion

The term selectively permeable means transport of selected small gaseous ions or molecules through it
