Answer

As a Chief Minister, I would first begin with the belief that I am a public servant of the people who have voted me to the position and not their master. My decisions would be backed by my team of experts in their respective fields of consideration rather than political expediency or appeasement of any section of society. I would value and reward performance publicly and shun sycophants and under achievers in my ruling dispensation. I would urge my citizenry to largely keep religion within the confines of their homes and hearts (where it should belong anyway) rather than it being the subject of debate and discussion every second day at the expense of development and progress.

Finally, I would just establish by example and practice that rule of law is supreme in my state. No one should believe that he is above the law or below it. Or can circumvent it or bend it. We have enough laws in this land covering every aspect of public and private life. I would ensure enforcement of these laws without fear or favour so that a time will come when the law abiding will become proud and fearless and the law baiters would be embarrassed and fearful.
