If I were the Prime Minister of India then I would probably do similar actions that Prime Minister Modi did; like starting a campaign such as Clean India or Swach Bharat campaign.

I will allocate sufficient funds. But I will check regularly whether the funds are being used properly or not.  I will instruct the municipalities to ensure cleanliness, sanitation and proper garbage disposal regularly.  I will act strictly against the officials who are corrupt and workers who do not do their duties properly.

I will use the information technology and other means to disperse and gather information and take relevant actions.  I will like sacred rivers, which are fresh water sources for people, to be clean and hygienic.

I will have many water supply points in lakhs of villages where water is not available.  Water is a resource that is used for cleaning. Due to lack of water many new toilets constructed in rural areas are not used. So first step is to provide water.  Wells are to be dug.

I will take action against corrupt persons who misuse the funds of Swach Bharat and do not do their complete job. I will take sufficient steps for the municipalities to spray disinfectants to kill mosquitoes and other insects during various seasons. That has to be done periodically till they are totally eradicated.

There are many slum areas and many dirty canals in major towns and cities. They smell horrible and cause numerous diseases to people. This problem has to be solved permanently.  Unless the rotten junk, stinking dirt and harmful chemicals are removed from these canals in the center of cities, we cannot ensure a Swach Bharat.

I will strengthen the pollution control boards. I will request the factories to get modernized.  I will like to minimize the steps to reduce burning of fossil fuels.  Latest situation of fog and smoke in New Delhi has practically demonstrated all people about pollution and uncleanly practices we follow.

Rich people and poor people alike must be taught discipline regarding cleanliness.  I will see to that.  I will speak on the TV, radio as well as on the social media on this subject of Clean India. I will request all Indians to improve India's image, health and lifestyle by cleaner practices.
