Pretty simple,
Let the root be x, The roots are equal Which by means another root is also x,
Generally product of roots = c/a in a quadratic equation,
But if two roots are same , then products of roots is x²,
x² is always positive, as square of any integer is +ve,
Now we can say that, x² = c/a,
=> c/a is also always positive, by this we can say that If two roots are same, Then c and a have same signs,
