Ratio of black bears to grizzly bears = 3:1

a. 24/x = 3/1

x = 24/3 = 8 grizzly bears.

b. x/12 = 3/1

x = 12 × 3 = 36 grizzly bears.

c. Total = 20

3x + 1x = 20

4x = 20

x = 20/4 = 5

Black bears = 3x = 15

Grizzly bears = 1x = 5

Hope this helps you.
