If3 2/3metres is cut from a ribbon which is 5 1/2 metres long.how much ribbon is left?

Total ribbon = 5 1/2 = 11/2 -------(i)

Ribbon cut = 3 2/3 = 11/3 --------(ii)

So,

Remaining ribbon = (i) - (ii)

= 11/2 - 11/3 = 11/6
