4^(2x-1) - 16^(x-1 ) = 384
4^2x /4 - 16^x / 16 = 384
4^2x/4 - 4^2x /16 = 384
Let 4^2x = a -----( 1 )
a /4 - a / 16 = 384
( 4a - a )/ 16 = 384
3a /16 = 384
a = ( 384 × 16 ) / 3
a = 128 × 16
a = 2^11
put a = 4^2x from ( 1 ),
4^2x = 2^11
2^4x = 2^11
( if a^m = a^n then m = n )
4x = 11
x = 11/4
