Correct questions

If α and β are the zeroes of f(x)= 2x² + 8x - 8 , then prove that α+β-αβ = 0

Solution

Given Equation

2x² + 8x - 8 = 0

Simplify the equation we get

2(x² + 4x - 4) = 0

x² + 4x - 4 = 0

We Know that

Sum of the zeroes = -b/a

Product of zeroes = c/a

Now Compare with

ax² + bx + c = 0

we get

a = 1 , b = 4 and c = - 4

Now put the value

Sum of Zeroes

α + β = -4/1

Product of zeroes

αβ = - 4/1

we Have to Prove

α+β-αβ = 0

Put the value

-4 -(-4)

-4 + 4

0

Hence Proved
