Answer:

Condition : x ∈ { -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3 }

Solution of Set A = { x + 2 < 1 }

Since we are required to find the solution set, we need to substitute the given values of x in the Set A such that condition is fulfilled. The values that fulfill the condition are the solution Set of A.

1 ) x = -3

⇒ x + 2 = -3 + 2 = -1

We know that, -1 < 1 . Hence, -3 is one of the terms of Solution Set.

2 ) x = -2

⇒ x + 2 = -2 + 2 = 0

We know that 0 < 1 . Hence -2 is one of the terms of Solution Set.

3 ) x = -1

⇒ x + 2 = -1 + 2 = 1

We know that 1 is not less than 1. Hence it is not the solution set.

Since -1 has not satisfied, other values greater than -1 will also not satisfy.

Hence the Solution Set = { -3, -2 }
