Igneous rocks are considered as the primary rocks as these are the rocks which form from the material that comes from below the earth. Igneous rocks are one of the three basic rock types. Other two are sedimentary and metamorphic. They represent the rocks which directly or indirectly provided materials for the formation of other types of rocks.
