Reactivity:  \\ The valence  \\ shell of sodium \\  is half filled  \\ whereas the valance \\  shell of calcium  \\ is fully filled.  \\ The electrons \\  readily fill the  \\ half filled  \\ shell.  \\ Thus, the reactivity \\  of sodium is  \\ more than  \\ the reactivity of  \\ calcium.
