Lately Pakistan was going through a BOP crises due to which our foreign exchange reserves reached a brink of extinction. In order to finance the deficit our reliance on Foreign debt has increased drastically during the last decade. Economists argue Pakistan should focus on the non-debt-creating inflows of the economy, such as foreign direct investment and exports, rather than accumulating more debt-creating inflows in order to repay previous debt. Express in words what are the main factors contributing towards a BOP deficit and how do you think that we can help overcome this undesirable economic situation?
