II. Read the passage carefully and answer the following questions :-
Farida
says
that all of her friends have cell phones, but Farida's dad doesn't want to buy her ond Farida's dad docent
want Farida to play video games either. What is more, the Internet scares him. One night after dinner, her parents sat down
to discuss this issue. Farida's dad says to her mother, If Farida has a cell phone, how do we know whom she is talking to?
Video games are not good for kids. Internet usage can't be controlled either. It's like having a machine gun in your home.
We should not allow her to use the PC and we are not buying her a mobile until she is in college. This is the only way we
can be sure that Farida is safe.'
Farida's mom disagrees with Farida's dad. Although she agrees that there are some dangers to it, she likes the Internet and
finds it very useful. 'The trouble is, 'she says, 'We can't just stop Farida from using the Internet, as this would put her at a
disadvantage. What is more, I love video games. I think that, when played in moderation, they are actually good fun
Obviously, it is not good to play them without restraint or self-control. Finally, I think farida needs a mobile so that we can
keep in touch with her. We can't take these things away.
Farida's dad falls quiet for a few minutes but then agrees. Farida who has been listening to the entire conversation from
behind the door rushes out and starts dancing for joy.
