(ii) When Mukesh visited chowpati at Mumbai on a holiday, he observed that the ratio of
North Indian food stalls to South Indian food stalls, is 5:4. If the total number of food
stalls is 117, then find the number of each type of food stalls.

5x + 4x = 117 \\  =  > 9x = 117 \\  =  > x = 13 \\  =  > 5x = 5 \times 9 = 45 \\  =  > 4x = 4 \times 9 = 36

let north indian food stalls be 5x

let south indian food stalls be 4x

then,

5x + 4x=117

9x=117

x=117/9

x= 13

then ,

5x = 5*13=65

4x=4*13=52

so,the number of north indian food stalls are 65 and south indian food stalls are 52
