x² + x = 2

x² + x - 2 = 0

x² + 2x - x - 2 = 0

x(x + 2) -1( x +2) = 0

So,(x +2)(x - 1) = 0

(x +2)=0

x = -2

And, (x-1)= 0

x = 1

Hence, x= -2,1
