iii) A circus tent is cylindrical upto a height of 3.3 m and conical above it. If the diameter of the base is 100 m and slant height of the conical part is 56.4 m, find the total canvas used in making the tent. If the cost of canvas is 8 per m², find the total cost of canvas required in making the tent.​

Answer: Given-

 Cylinder :  Height = h = 3.3 m

                    radius = R = 50 m

Cone : Slant Height = l = 56.4 m

           Radius = r = 50 m

Step-by-step explanation: Canvas required = Curved Surface Area of tent

C.s.a of cylinder = 2 pie*R*H

= 2*3.14* 50*3.3

=1036.2 m.square

C.s.a of cone = pie * r* l

= 3.14* 50* 56.4

=8854.8 m.square

Total csa = 1036.2 + 8854.8 = 9891 m square

Cost = 9891 * 8

=79128 RS
