It lies between 36° N latitude in the South to 71°N latitude in the north and 10° W longitude in the west to 65º E longitude in the east. The northern boundary of Europe is the Northern Ocean while the Mediterranean Sea, the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea constitute the southern boundary.
