According to the poet the world will end twice. Firstly by fire. Fire here symbolises the desire humans have to do something. This desire will make them greedy and will result in the end of the world. Secondly by ice which symbolises hatred here. Among the humans hatred is going to be such huge that everyone will become blind due to it and will destroy everything because of that hatred and jealousy
