(iii) Aunt Tildy did not harvest the cotton crop
because her grandson, Sandy, had been ill and she did not have enough money to hire anybody to do the job for her.
(iv)Though Ozeme had not picked cotton for many years, he still managed to do it, though a bit awkwardly. He stayed for two more nights to help her out even though his fingers became numble. He also motivated Aunt Tildy to do whatever she could with her sound hand. In this way, he helped her to pick her cotton before the rains could spoil it.
(v) Aunt Tildy had firm faith in the Lord and she was confident that he would send somebody to help her out. When the crop was harvested she expressed her gratitude to the Lord who had made it possible in his own way.
