ILA car starts from rest and
accelerates uniformly to a speed
50ms
over a distance of 250 m.
The speed of car is
increased to 60 ms within
10s, if the acceleration is
further increased. Find this
acceleration and the
distance travelled by car in
10 s.

Answer:
Acceleration is 6 m/s²;
Distance travelled in 10 s = 800 m.
Explanation:
Given,
Initial Velocity (u) = 0 m/s
Final Velocity (v) = 50 m/s
Distance (S) = 250 m
Now,
u = 50 m/s
v = (50+60) m/s
= 110 m/s
Time (t) = 10s
Acceleration (a) = v = u+at
= 110 = 50+10a
= 60 = 10a
= a = 6 m/s²
= Distance Travelled = S = ut+1/2at²
= (50*10)+(0.5*6*10*10)
= 500+300
= 800 m
Hope this helps.
