Illustrate, if possible, each one of the following with a rough diagram:
(a) A closed curve that is not a polygon.
(b) An open curve made up entirely of line segments.

CURVE :

Curve is a figure that flow smoothly without a break.A line is also a curve, and is called a straight curve.

Types of curves: Simple ,open & closed curve

Simple Curves: Curves that do not intersect themselves are called simple curves.

Open Curves: Curves whose end points do not meet are called open curves.

Closed curves: Curves whose end points join to enclose an area are called closed curves.

c ) A polygon with two sides.

ans: Not possible.

[ To form a polygon we require at

least three line segments ]
