Illustrate the difference between rural and urban poverty. Is it correct to say that poverty has shifted from rural to urban areas? Use the trends in poverty ratio to support your answer.

yes it is very much correct that nowadays the poverty has shifted from rural areas to urban areas.this is because in rural areas there are no good kind and there is lack of proper
education and training in rural area this, now the people are shifting to urban areas for job and earning opportunities.but as india is a huge country this there are not much equal no. of people shifting to urban areas.thus, the no. of unemployed youth has increased over the years.
as these people do not have a source of income this these people are getting poor day by day and not getting kind.this resulting to poverty in urban areas

In rural areas, poors are largely assimilated into the wider society. On the other hand, in urban areas, poor people are ghettoised into slums which lack basic sanitation facilities.

Increased migration from rural to urban areas has somewhat shifted poverty from rural areas to urban areas. In order to tackle this, PURA, increased connectivity in rural and urban areas and overall greater emphasis on agriculture and food processing industries can be the key to address these trends of shifting poverty.
