Mass of Methane =16g
Molar mass of Methane=16g
Mass of Oxygen =48g
Which means no.of.moles of Oxygen =1.5mol
Molar mass of Oxygen=32g
To find :No.Of.Moles of Carbon Dioxide.
Solution:
We Know,
When 1mole of Methane reacts with 2moles of Oxygen to form 1mole of Carbon Dioxide.
Since according to Rules for writing an equation ,
1.5moles is not allowed so .... Multiply the whole equation by 2.
So , 3moles of Oxygen reacts with 2moles of Methane to form..x moles of Carbon Dioxide
x/2 =2/3
On solving we get ;
x=4/3
x=1.33moles
Molar mass of Methane=16g
Mass of Oxygen =48g
Which means no.of.moles of Oxygen =1.5mol
Molar mass of Oxygen=32g
