Iltutmish became the ruler in Delhi.

- He succeeded in his master Qutb-al-Din-Aibak and moved his capital from Lahore to Delhi. Iltutmish strengthened and expanded the Mughal Empire in the Northern plains. He is considered as the first to establish the Mughal dynasty in Delhi.
