i mainly just miss quality Asian food (because although they try their best, nothing beats the original), and feeling safe enough to walk around at night by myself. While my host country is very safe, being the minority for once makes me rather self conscious as I don’t want to project a negative image of my country to others. Also maybe the lack of huge spiders and animals lurking around.
Other than that, Australia is great! Great weather- for once I’m not sweating to death, quality Aussie food, generally friendly and helpful people and more flexible degree options which I really appreciate.
