If so then India would be the worlds largest country.India would not have been worlds poorest country.
The resources, attention and energy would be increased.
More financial support to India.
Religious:
Muslim population might have been increased. 
As they increase in numbers, they become more and more demanding and threatening.

India would have increased in world economy.
Increase in population causes more annual income and thus economy would rise.
Political:
Politically India would not have been changed.
Frankly speaking more political problems may arise and it may even be religious too.
And so no proper politics can be in India.
Corruption may rise more.
