Durgapur, 21 January, 4 p.m : Durgapur just witnessed a mind boggling 'War of Words'. The Annual Inter-School Debate Competition was just held in the auditorium of Capital Public School.
About fifty debaters from all the English Medium schools in and around Durgapur participated in the competition.
There were three judges which included the renowned TV anchor- Mr. R. Kumar, the Principal of ABC Academy- Dr. S. Chatterjee and the Deputy Mayor- Ms. A. Mukherjee.
A heated debate took place between the debaters on the topic: Humans are solely dependent on the present Climate Change.
The first prize went to Anindita Ghosh, a student of class nine of the host school. She spoke for the motion. The second prize went to Shreya Mallick of IT Academy. The third prize went to Shoubik Singh of LB School.
All in all it was a great occasion.
