Alauddin Khilji would send his emissary to discuss with the village chief regarding increased land tax.  

If that failed, instead of taking any harsh punitive measures, he would agree to keep the tax rate at current level, provided the farmers increased their output by another 10% of which 1% will go to the administration.

This act would gain him the goodwill of peasant population, as well as earn revenue for the kingdom.
