Dear diary,
Sometimes I feel like my life would end in this cage with steel bars all around me with no room to escape and move to a world where I could possibly roam freely and courageously. Not is freedom an issue, but I am living a life of a property and become objectified on daily basis.
Wasn't the fear of being hunted down by poachers enough that in this cage all my mates and I roam around with the thought to stay intact and within our boundaries without making any noise for the jailers would come up and beat us with their whips.
The other day one of my friends got whipped for he didn't want to be tied with a chain to the tree nearby and upon protest he received much pain at the hands of these heartless beasts.
I wish to get freed from here someday. If only I was a bird rather than a zebra I would fly away from this cage. I feel bad for the birds even, whats the point of having wings when they don't even have the freedom to fly anymore.
I must go now.
Signing off.
