Dear Pappa
I hope this letter finds Mamma and you doing well. Hope Suresh is doing well in his studies.
Here, we have to opt for an extracurricular outdoor activity apart from our regular subjects from this year. You know how I enjoy trekking and hiking. I opted for mountaineering! I know you must be upset with me for not telling you before I enrolled myself.
But Pappa, we had to give our preferences in just three days. And, you were out of town. So, there was no way I could contact you. I actually felt guilty about not being able to tell you before giving my name. However, I am sure, you will understand my situation and not be angry with me. If you wish me to change, I will ask my teacher if this can be done even though none of the other activities interest me so much.
I am once again sorry for not keeping you informed. I request you to pardon me for the same.
